Ali Dixon is a Canadian interdiscplinary artist and filmmaker. She is a graduate of Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Film and Media Studies Department.

She is currently pursuing an MFA at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. In 2019, Ali was one of three students to receive the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts Scholarship.

While the majority of her work is primarily still or moving image, Ali has recently embarked on experimenting with various medias and creative forms, from poetry and prose to soundscapes and digital collage. A recurring theme in Ali’s work is that of haunting. She also draws from such themes as the surreal, the occult and the whimsical.
